Job advertisement for Adjunct lecturer for BUS 3000 Position: Adjunct Lecturer (FA14) for Business Communication and Protocol (BUS:3000) in the Department of Accounting, responsible for teaching one or two section(s) for the Fall 2025 academic session. Classes begin on August 25, 2025, and end December 12, 2025. Instructor obligations regarding responsibility for course preparation and submission of final grades begin on August 20, 2025, and end on December 21, 2025. Online presentation component of class will be online. Sections times are weekdays between 3:30 and 9:00 p.m.: Key areas of responsibility * Provide primary instruction in a required undergraduate core course of business communication and team building to students in the Tippie College of Business. Course section size is approximately 28 students. * Follow an established course curriculum with the expectation that development of own course material will be done as needed. Maintain course management website and provide student feedback and grading in a timely manner. * Hold weekly office hours and respond to UI and student course-related e-mails within 48 hours during the business week. Fulfill university obligations for all instructors (e.g., FERPA training and credential check) as required. Education Requirement Master's degree in English/Communication or a related field OR Master's degree in Business or equivalent combination of education and related experience (minimum 5 years) Required Qualifications 2-3 years' experience in one of the following: * Evidence of successful primary instruction teaching experience at the undergraduate or graduate level in any area of written, oral, and visual communication. OR * A demonstrated high level of writing and presentation skill in a business environment. Experience with online instruction and classroom technology including digital communication platforms is expected. Applicants must provide a resume or CV, cover letter, and 2 references.
