This Intern position will offer law students an opportunity for paid practical experience across a variety of practice areas supporting the Bright Horizons Legal Department. This experience is valuable to law students as a means of allowing them to understand how their studies are applied in an active business setting.

This Hybrid role requires in-person work 3 days per week at our Newton, MA headquarters. This role will be for 15 weeks, 30 hours per week.

What you will be doing:
  • Review and perform analysis of legacy client contracts and contract data as part of the implementation of an enterprise-wide Contract Lifecycle Management System.

  • Assist with drafting and reviewing of contracts and non-disclosure agreements.

  • Observe client meetings, negotiations, and administrative hearings.

  • Aid in company's defense of legal claims (research, writing, interviewing, and case development).

  • Perform legal research involving state and federal laws and regulations impacting the company.

  • Other tasks as needed in the course of working in a dynamic in-house legal department of a public growth company.

  • All work will be performed under the supervision of a Bright Horizons attorney

Minimum Qualifications
  • College degree. Must be enrolled as either a full time or part time JD student

  • 1+ years of experience with contract databases, Conga preferred

Additional Job Requirements
  • Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to maintain a positive attitude; and solid customer service skills

  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment
