Purpose of the Job Under the direction of the Chief Administrative Officer/Chief of Staff (CAO/COS), the Vice President, Organizational Development & Training manages leadership and organizational development training programs across the organization and directs the corporate training team. The Vice President implements programs designed to develop and engage talent within the organization while collaborating with subject matter experts to assess, evaluate and develop relevant training programs, and develops a strategic vision aligned with organizational goals, including detailed planning, curriculum/instructional design, delivery, project management, budgeting and scheduling. Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Serves as a member of the Senior Management Team (SMT) to direct the overall business strategies of the organizational development and training departments through active participation with Senior Management, Board of Directors, external service organizations and vendors.
- Evaluates and manages partnerships with external vendors, platforms, and consultants to ensure innovative and cost-effective learning solutions.
- Acts as a strategic organizational development and training business partner to key stakeholders within the organization to develop, direct and resolve organizational development and training issues that closely support organizational goals.
- Plans, develops, and provides employee training and leadership development programs including emerging leader, mid-level and senior leadership training., using knowledge of the effectiveness of various methods, classroom training, demonstrations, on-the-job training, meetings, conferences, and workshops.
- Designs and develops innovative, multi-modal learning solutions utilizing a variety of modalities including online courses, in-person training, blended learning, and micro-learning experiences. Creates dynamic, interactive resources such as multimedia presentations, digital job aids, and real-time performance tools to align with organizational goals and enhance employee performance.
- Implements engaging, comprehensive programs, curricula and immersive learning experiences, including individual contributor, manager and leadership development programs. Ensures that these initiatives align with organizational goals and are effectively integrated into the overall talent development strategy.
- Establishes metrics to measure the effectiveness of learning programs through feedback, performance metrics and data analytics. Tracks learner progress and makes data-driven improvements to training initiatives. Analyzes data to identify trends, measure ROI, and make data-driven decisions to continuously improve learning initiatives. Reports on learning outcomes and progress to senior leadership.
- Leads the integration of new learning technologies, including AI-driven platforms, adaptive learning systems, and data-driven personalization of learning paths.
- Partners with IT and innovation teams to stay ahead of trends in education technology, ensuring the learning ecosystem remains cutting-edge and scalable.
- Implements agile learning strategies and just-in-time training aligned to business needs and performance gaps.
- Facilitates leadership retreats, design thinking workshops, and culture-building interventions to support enterprise transformation.
- Certifies, coaches, and evaluates instructor's training performance/facilitation and presentation techniques providing recommendations for improvement.
- Prepares and monitors annual budgets for assigned responsibilities.
- Participates in the annual performance review process, including writing and delivering reviews.
- Actively promotes the mission of the Credit Union within the organization and throughout the communities served by the Credit Union.

- Must have strong understanding of organizational training design and development, adult learning, concepts, practices, procedures, and regulations within the credit union and training
- Must have demonstrated competence in instructional practices and emerging technologies as it relates to training, corporate communications and employee engagement.
- Must have desire and understanding of techniques and strategies in relation to employee engagement
- Must have excellent communication and presentation skills in English, both verbal and written
- Must possess the ability to communicate. lead, initiate change and possess a positive attitude while explaining and supporting organizational decisions, directions and procedures
- Must have intermediate skills in MS office suite

Physical Requirements
- Occasional standing, walking, bending, and stooping required
- Must be able to sit at a desk for long periods of time and use a computer
- Must be able to moderately lift or move up to 5 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 10 pounds
Education and Background
- Bachelor's Degree in Education, Human Resources, related field or equivalent experience required
- Minimum of 7-10 years' experience required designing, training and implementing leadership development initiatives/training programs, preferably in Financial Services industry
- Minimum of 7 years management experience, 3 years of which in a senior management role
- ATD, DDI, Franklin Covey or equivalent certifications required
- Previous financial services experience preferred
