Responsibilities:

  • Develops and maintains initiatives to ensure that IT and security controls are properly designed and operating effectively within defined organizational frameworks, procedures, and risk thresholds.
  • Conducts evaluations and reviews to confirm that appropriate safeguards are in place and aligned with business objectives to manage technology-related risks.
  • Acts as a technical authority on IT policies, control standards, and governance frameworks, translating complex requirements into actionable risk management strategies.
  • Stays informed on evolving industry trends, regulatory requirements, and best practices in IT governance and compliance.
  • Promotes the integration of risk management principles into enterprise operations, including defining the criticality and sensitivity of systems and data assets.
  • Designs action plans to address control gaps and offers expert advice to help prevent recurrence of issues.
  • Tracks and reports metrics related to the closure of audit findings and the effectiveness of control remediation. Performs validation and testing of corrective measures and enhanced controls.
  • Coordinates with the corporate security function on matters requiring specialized testing or remediation of IT security controls.
  • Builds strong partnerships with internal stakeholders to support audit and risk initiatives.
  • Incorporates broader organizational goals into daily responsibilities and mentors junior staff on strategic alignment.
  • Leads initiatives within their domain of expertise and offers subject-matter guidance to colleagues.
  • Continuously seeks and identifies areas for operational improvement and efficiency.
  • Prepares and presents rollout plans that align with leadership priorities.
  • Effectively manages competing priorities based on business impact and urgency.
  • Possesses strong communication abilities, both in writing and verbally.
  • Demonstrates deep knowledge of both business operations and technical ecosystems relevant to their specialty area.

Requirements:
  • Possesses a comprehensive understanding of key IT domains, including cloud architecture and security, governance models, service delivery management, and established security standards and control frameworks.
  • Capable of recommending enhancements to control structures and operational procedures to ensure alignment with IT compliance requirements, security policies, and regulatory mandates.
  • Well-versed in the full lifecycle of system development and contributes to the evolution of development methodologies.
  • Offers advisory support and mentorship to peers across technical and functional areas.
  • Ensures that technical solutions conform to strategic IT goals and established architectural guidelines.
  • Demonstrates expert-level skills within primary focus areas while actively developing cross-functional expertise.
  • Evaluates business and technical requirements, advising decision-makers on appropriate technology solutions and data protection mechanisms for both new implementations and system modifications.
  • Suggests design alternatives and strategic approaches to meet business and technical specifications.
  • Independently resolves complex technical issues, recognizing interdependencies across platforms and systems.
  • Participates in all phases of system lifecycle management, from configuration and data modeling to test planning, execution, and user training.
  • Oversees smaller-scale projects, ensuring that deliverables meet expectations for quality and timeliness.
  • Identifies issues that require escalation and directs them to the appropriate channels.
  • Provides advanced (tier 3) technical support and troubleshooting services.
  • Aligns technical solutions with overarching IT strategies and compliance frameworks.
  • Applies systems analysis methods to collaborate with end-users and define technical specifications, or engages in design, prototyping, testing, and refinement of software and systems in line with defined requirements.
  • Skilled in leveraging Excel functions such as VLOOKUP and XLOOKUP, and proficient in writing and interpreting SQL queries to extract and analyze data.


Additional Requirements:
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent professional certification is required.
  • Over eight years of experience in technical auditing, IT governance, or related areas, with a strong foundation in quality assurance practices and cybersecurity risk evaluation.
  • Proven track record in performing audits and assessments of IT environments, cloud infrastructures, and associated compliance controls.
  • Familiar with evaluating technology and security controls based on recognized frameworks such as SOX, COBIT, NIST, ISO, or similar regulatory and best practice standards.
  • Certifications such as CCSP (Certified Cloud Security Professional) and Microsoft Azure Fundamentals or Solutions Architect are highly desirable.
  • In-depth understanding of ITIL methodologies and service management best practices.
  • Well-versed in security frameworks, architectures, and control mechanisms across enterprise environments.
  • Exceptional communication abilities combined with strong program and project management capabilities.
