Responsibilities

Sierra Vista Hospital is seeking Social Service Supervisor. If you're passionate about working in the behavioral health setting and have the desire to lead a team of healthcare professionals dedicated to serving our patients, we want to hear from you!

The Social Services Supervisor provides administrative leadership and clinical direction and oversight to the Social Services Department. The Supervisor ensures appropriate psychosocial treatment programs and services that meet the needs of the patients are in compliance with regulatory agencies and the facility's performance objectives. Responsibilities include managing the social services department and the services offered through the department, maintaining the department schedule, providing training and oversight to social services staff, support social services staff with identified needs, provide guidance regarding complex patient planning and potential risk factors, collaborate with other mental health providers to assist with developing and sustaining positive working relationships, fulfill the tasks of Case Supervisor as needed, complete tasks of the Director of Psychological Services in the director's absence.


Qualifications

Education:

  • Master's Level Graduate of an accredited school of social work or counseling program.

Experience:

  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience in psychiatric/mental health field.

License:

  • Licensed or registered with BBS (LCSW, ACSW, LMFT, AMFT, LPCC, APCC) preferred.

Additional Requirements:

  • A strong knowledge of TJC, CMS, OSHA regulations, and patient rights standards and all other applicable federal and state laws and regulations governing mental health care facilities. CPR certification and successful completion of the hospital's designated behavioral and physical management training program, including the appropriate use of seclusion and restraint required within the first 90 days of employment.
