Position Summary: The Director of Plant Operations is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of NewView Oklahoma's manufacturing and operational functions, including production, quality, procurement, logistics, facility maintenance, and enterprise-wide ISO 9001 Quality Management. This leader ensures safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing while aligning day-to-day plant operations with the organization's long-term strategic goals. Reporting directly to the President/CEO, the Director of Plant Operations serves as a key contributor to NewView's mission to empower individuals who are blind or have low vision. Essential duties and responsibilities: Manufacturing Operations Leadership
- Direct overall manufacturing and plant operations to ensure safety, quality, efficiency, and profitability.
- Lead cross-functional coordination between production, business development, and sales to ensure product realization and on-time delivery.
- Serve as a member of the senior leadership team contributing to organizational strategy, planning, and reporting.
ISO 9001 Quality Management and Compliance
- Oversees the implementation and maintenance of the ISO 9001 Quality Management System across all enterprise operations.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring compliance with internal standards, customer requirements, and regulatory audits.
- Maintain documentation, track quality metrics, and ensure corrective actions are executed effectively.
Facilities & Asset Management
- Lead the development and execution of preventative and corrective maintenance programs for all facilities.
- Ensure operational safety, regulatory compliance, and sustainability within physical plant operations.
Financial & Resource Management
- Develops and monitors budgets for the Enterprise Division, aligning resource allocation with strategic objectives.
- Collaborates with the Controller and senior leadership to ensure fiscal responsibility, operational efficiency, and long-term sustainability.
- Oversee procurement, inventory, and warehouse functions to ensure cost-effective resource use and production flow.
- Participate in annual budgeting, monitor financial performance, and align plant operations with fiscal goals.
Organizational Leadership & Collaboration
- Serves as a core member of the senior leadership team, contributing to strategic planning and cross-functional integration.
- Collaborates with Human Resources, Business Development, and other leaders to support hiring, training, performance management, and compliance within operational teams.
- Represents the Enterprise Division in leadership forums, board presentations, and strategic initiatives.
- Manage and support production supervisors and team leads; ensure staffing, training, performance evaluations, and compliance align with HR best practices.
- Foster a high-performance work culture grounded in safety, collaboration, and empowerment of individuals with blindness or low vision.

- Presents at the regular meetings of the Board of Directors
- Other duties as assigned by the President/CEO
Qualifications
Qualifications: Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Industrial Management, Business Administration, or related field required; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of senior-level leadership in manufacturing or plant operations.
- Experience managing ISO 9001 or other quality systems.
- Demonstrated success in leading facility operations, budget planning, and cross-functional teams.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Deep understanding of lean manufacturing principles and operational process improvement.
- Strong financial acumen with budgeting and resource management experience.
- Effective leadership and team-building skills across multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to represent the organization internally and externally.
- High level of integrity, accountability, and professional presence.
- Knowledge of regulatory and safety standards (OSHA, environmental, labor laws).
