Concrete Equipment Mechanic- County Materials

We are seeking a Concrete Equipment Mechanic for our customer, County Materials in Astatula, FL.

Job Duties:

• Diagnose and repair ready mix trucks, batch plants, and related concrete equipment.
• Perform scheduled and emergency maintenance on hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
• Weld and fabricate parts for mixer drums, chutes, and support frames.
• Interpret manuals and schematics to complete equipment repairs.
• Use hand tools, meters, welders, and material handling equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and complete repair documentation.
• Coordinate with dispatch and vendors to schedule maintenance with minimal downtime.

Work Environment:

• Work in indoor and outdoor weather conditions, including extreme hot or cold temperatures
• Work near moving machinery and equipment - could include electrical hazards
• Work in a noisy environment

Physical Requirements:

• Sitting
• Carrying / Lifting 10 - 40 Pounds
• Standing / Walking / Climbing
• Squatting / Crouching / Kneeling / Bending
• Pushing / Pulling / Reaching Above Shoulder

Experience & Qualifications:

• 2+ years of diesel mechanic experience, preferably with ready mix or heavy trucks.
• Skilled in hydraulics, welding, and mechanical systems specific to concrete equipment.
• Knowledge of batch plant systems and mixer truck components.
• Valid driver's license required; CDL a plus.
• Team player with a proactive, safety-first mindset.
