This is a hybrid onsite position in Oakbrook, IL. No relocation is provided.

As a Network Administrator II, you will oversee the daily management of our network and server environment. Your responsibilities will include installing, configuring, and maintaining system software, monitoring network performance, troubleshooting issues, and deploying solutions. Additionally, you will be involved in planning and implementing upgrades, patches, and new applications, as well as installing new equipment. This role demands a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and effective communication to ensure the reliability, security, and efficiency of our network infrastructure. You will support, manage, and complete projects related to LAN, WAN, Active Directory, Server, Workstation, and VoIP network infrastructure. The Network Administrator II will be based out of the corporate office in Oak Brook, IL and will report to the Network and Security Manager in Oak Brook.

Salary Range: $90,000 - $120,000 annually

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Administer and manage Microsoft Exchange, including mailbox management, email flow, and security.
  • Administer Office 365 for Teams, SharePoint, and other related services.
  • Manage Azure administration tasks, including user and group management, and resource provisioning.
  • Manage and maintain virtualization environments, including VMware, Hyper-V, or other virtualization platforms.
  • Install, configure, and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Manage SCCM server infrastructure, create and modify imaging task sequence, application deployment, and upgrades.
  • Active Directory administration, configuration, and management.

  • Create and manage Group Policy for servers, workstations security standardization.
  • Administer and maintain end user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation.
  • Implement network security measures to protect against threats.
  • Plan and execute network upgrades, patches, and new installations.
  • Document network issues and events using standard formats.
  • Collaborate with other IT professionals to support network-related projects and initiatives.
  • Configure and manage Cloud VoIP systems, ensuring reliable and efficient communication services.
  • Provide support to users and resolve network-related issues.
  • Maintain and follow disaster recovery, security, backup, and restore plans.
  • Manage projects and vendors related to deploying and upgrading network, and application infrastructure.
  • Evaluate new tools or equipment and perform analysis/feasibility studies to guide decisions on optimizing network performance.
  • Participate in on-call rotation including off-hours and weekends. Some after hours work will be required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
    • 3-5 years of experience in network administration or a related role.
    • Proficiency in network protocols, routing, and switching.
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Excellent communication skills including the ability to write operational procedures and documentation.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
    • Experience with Azure and other cloud platforms is a plus. 1-2 years' experience
    • Experience with Microsoft Exchange administration in a Hybrid environment. 3 years' experience
    • Experience with virtualization technologies. 2-3 years' experience
    • Experience with Cloud VoIP systems a plus. - A plus - 6mo-1year.
    Preferred Certifications:
    • Microsoft 365 Certified
    • Azure Administrator Associate
    • Microsoft Exchange Administrator
    • Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate
