Description
Dunwoody College of Technology is seeking a tech-forward Instructional Designer to add to the college's 'Dunwoody Immersive' team. Dunwoody Immersive is a new dual credit program that provides college courses in the technical and skilled trades fields to high school students. The curriculum will utilize immersive technology to simulate learning labs in combination with lectures and assignments in the college's Learning Management System (Canvas) and provide educational opportunities to students across the country. As an Instructional Designer for Dunwoody Immersive, you'll lead the charge in transforming learning experiences drawing from existing instructional modalities-face-to-face, hybrid, and online-and reshaping them in an automated way that focuses on leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) and virtual reality (VR). Additionally, you'll collaborate closely with faculty and staff to reimagine lab-based courses using immersive VR environments and giving students hands-on learning opportunities no matter where they are located. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in instructional design, curriculum development, or a related field.
3+ years of experience designing courses in higher education
Strong track record of using VR and AI in instructional contexts.
Your Areas of Interest/Knowledge May Include:
Instructional design models and learning theories
Creating VR-enhanced lab activities and AI-supported learning solutions
Aligning learning objectives with course content and assessments
Tools such as Canvas LMS, Adobe Creative Suite, Camtasia, MS 365, Kahoot, and knowledge of immersive platforms (360 Video, Unity, Unreal, WebXR)
Accreditation standards and quality assurance frameworks (i.e. Quality Matters)
