We have an opening for a Court & Calendar Researcher.
Under the direct supervision of the Court & Calendar Resources Manager, the Court & Calendar Researcher maintains the firm's master calendar and fields and addresses research inquiries related to docketing, civil procedure, and court processes.
In this capacity, the Court & Calendar Researcher will:
- Maintain the Firm, team, and attorney calendars with accuracy and promptness;
- Research all court rules/regulations to ensure the accurate and efficient calendaring of the Firm's cases;
- Calculate calendar and deadlines utilizing the legal calendar systems;
- Respond to requests from attorneys, paralegals and secretaries regarding case, court, filing, calendar and system information;
- User administrative maintenance in connection with various electronic filing and service providers;
- Act as a liaison between Court and Calendar Resources team and other departments;
- Work overtime as required; and
- Handle additional related projects as assigned.
Proficiencies:
- Advanced proficiency in legal calendar systems (i.e. CompuLaw, PATTSY), court record systems (PACER), and conflicts and records systems (as applicable);
- Advanced knowledge of Federal and State Rules of Civil Procedure, Federal and State Rules of Court, U.S. Bankruptcy Code and bankruptcy rules, and Court Form Application (as applicable);
- Advanced knowledge of U.S. Patent & Trademark rules/procedures (as applicable);
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite;
- Familiarity with legal terminology and variety of citation and brief formats used in legal work
- Desire to continuously learn and educate others;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills;
- Excellent organizational skills; and
- Continuous improvement and creativity mindset.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent professional experience (required); and
- A minimum two (2) years of relevant work experience in a law firm or legal department of a large corporation (required).

The salary wage range that we expect to pay for this position is a minimum of $58,400 and a maximum of $72,700 annually. The actual pay wage may vary based on experience or other relevant factors.
