As a Senior Learning & Performance Specialist on our team, you will have the opportunity to manage multi-faceted learning initiatives, nourish a strategic partnership with leadership across the business, and represent SentryU as a center of excellence.
What You'll Do As a Senior Learning & Performance Specialist, you will:
Strategically partner with HR Business Consultants and senior leaders of assigned business area(s) to diagnose learning needs though conducting customized needs analysis. Leverage needs analysis to create measurable and sequential learning objectives, identifying the most appropriate instructional delivery method(s) Create a project plans, engaging with the business to identify resources, milestones, deadlines, risks, dependencies and budget. Use learner centric design and leverage multiple modalities considering location and audience in designing end-to-end learning solutions and program content in alignment with target audience(s) learning needs. Collaborate with Instructional Designers to prepare learning materials including, but not limited to facilitation materials, presentations, reference guides, and job aids. Design a variety of learning solutions by applying knowledge of adult learning principles. Designs learning plans incorporating the 70/20/10 model. Monitor project milestones, communicating expectations to project teams assuring deliverables are completed on time. Preview content and project status with key stakeholders. Facilitate learning experiences leveraging effective engagement and classroom management strategies. Acknowledge and incorporate participants' past experiences and expertise. Provides and elicits examples of how newly acquired knowledge or skills will transfer to the learners' work environment. Consult with associates to overcome barriers to learning application. Coach managers in strategies to aid their associates in applying the learning.
What it Takes
Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience. Minimum of 8 years related work experience. Experience leading complex learning projects with defined objectives, deliverables, and timelines. Work experience involves creating learning programs consisting of multi modalities. Demonstrated experience leveraging knowledge of adult learning theories, methodologies and best practices in the design, development and delivery of targeted learning opportunities. Prior experience in a P & C functional role (Claims, Sales, IT) preferred. Prior management experience strongly preferred. Ability to effectively diagnose learning needs and in developing effective learning plans to address gaps/opportunities. Demonstrated experience leveraging effective learning engagement and classroom management strategies. Demonstrated facilitation skills for ILT, virtual and video modalities. Demonstrated experience in developing and managing key business relationships.
