General Summary of Position:

We are seeking a highly organized and technically skilled Configuration Staging Specialist to oversee the intake, documentation, quality control and deployment of new products and configurations within our staging and configuration lab. This individual will be responsible for developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), training configuration lab representatives on new technologies and processes, and ensuring consistent execution across all configuration tasks. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership capabilities, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Responsible for staging new projects following standards built by solutions engineering
  • Responsible for providing quality control for the staging, configuration, and packing of these projects. This includes pre-shipment equipment check.
  • Responsible for maintaining and tracking inventory being worked for configuration
  • Responsible for applying configurations to a variety of equipment
  • Responsible for completing assigned work flows
  • Troubleshoot using internal systems
  • Assist in the Pack/Ship process
  • Work closely with all internal departments to ensure correct equipment is configured and shipped for customers
  • Ability to lift of 50 lbs
  • Job requires a valid driver's license as part of responsibilities could involve driving a company vehicle
  • Lead the intake process for new products and configurations, working cross-functionally to ensure readiness for deployment.
  • Develop, document, and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for new hardware and software configurations.
  • Train configuration lab representatives on new processes, tools, and technologies to ensure high-quality, consistent results.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for escalations or complex configurations requiring advanced troubleshooting.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Operations, and other internal departments to ensure accurate and efficient staging of customer equipment.
  • Maintain documentation libraries and knowledge bases for repeatable configuration processes.
  • Monitor workflow completion, ensure deadlines are met, and support continuous improvement initiatives in the lab.
  • Provide hands-on support with configuration, testing, and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to inventory tracking procedures and accuracy of equipment staging.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Valid driver's license required; position may involve occasional driving of company vehicles.

Required Qualifications:



  • 2-4 years' experience in a configuration, staging, telecommunications, or technical operations role,
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Previous experience writing SOPs or training materials
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products, Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Excellent leadership and team collaboration skills
  • Strong understanding of hardware/software configuration processes
  • Experience with inventory management or ERP software
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Highly motivated, energetic, self-starter
  • Availability to work overtime as required

Preferred Qualifications:



  • 3-5 years of experience in the Telecommunications industry
  • Familiarity with equipment from Cisco, Adtran, Fortinet, Meraki, and other manufacturers
  • Experience in a lead or supervisory role in a configuration or technical support environment
