Prototyping Mechanical Engineer

The ideal candidate is a Mechanical Engineer skilled in rapid prototyping techniques, including traditional machining and 3D printing techniques. The position involves assisting in the design, fabrication, and testing of prototype components, assemblies, and systems to aid in the development of new products or the improvement of existing products. This involves conducting experiments to support NMR probe evaluation, testing, and analyzing of materials and assembly methods.

A Bachelor's degree in engineering or science, plus 1-3 years experience with design, fabrication and testing of prototype components is desired.

Knowledge of 2D/3D CAD software is required

Basic machine tools such as milling, engraving machines, lathe, drill press, band saw and soldering is required

Experience with mechanical simulation software such as ANSYS preferred

Experience with radio frequency, cryogenic and vacuum experience preferred
