ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Lead Payroll Coordinator position will play a critical role in managing the integration of payroll with our retirement plan benefits, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all payroll-related processes.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:



  • Hire and ensure training for new employees; provide ongoing coaching/feedback, recognition, development and performance management.
  • Lead the payroll integration process for new business setups and existing client accounts, including initial configuration, coordination with payroll providers, test file management, and timeline adherence.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and excellent customer service throughout the integration process.
  • Develop and implement best practices for payroll integration, streamlining processes and improving efficiency.
  • Provide expert guidance to team members and clients, leveraging an in-depth understanding of payroll processing and administrative requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve integration challenges, ensuring timely and accurate project completion.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Conduct training and mentoring for payroll coordinator team members, fostering growth and knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of integration processes, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.


WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE:



  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll administration, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll systems and software, including third party payroll integration set ups.
  • Proven ability to manage complex payroll processes and integrate with retirement benefit plans.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work is typically performed in an office setting. The employee is regularly required to sit for extended periods of time. The employee is occasionally required to move about the office utilizing proper ergonomic safeguards when doing so. Additionally, the employee must occasionally lift or move supplies and materials up to 20 pounds.

BASE PAY RANGE:

$65,000 - $75,000 per year
