Description

Purpose:

Monitor and supervise the Maintenance Control AOG staff, AOG Team, and operation to ensure Maintenance Control upholds and communicates work standards, which are in accordance with the General Maintenance Manual, the maintenance program, and FAR requirements. Ensure line maintenance performs aircraft maintenance in compliance with FAA, manufacturers, and company requirements. Ensure Maintenance Control staff communicates to SOC, Flight Control, NCC, and ATI's customers in an accurate, timely, and effective manner of all aircraft discrepancies as required to minimize flight schedule interruptions. Responsible for ensuring all Maintenance Control personnel are up to date with all required training. Identify relevant training areas for continued enhancement of Maintenance Control AOG personnel and the AOG Team. Recap and perform analysis of previous flight day delays and cancellations to identify preventable contributory factors. Maintains the fleet concerning out-of-service aircraft, DMIs, and Chronic items. Compile routine aircraft status reports for the Senior Manager of Maintenance Control.


Job Functions:

  • Supervise, monitor, and coordinate all maintenance activity on each aircraft on a continuous basis through the Maintenance Control AOG staff and AOG Team, providing technical assistance as necessary to return each aircraft to service. Review all deferred items on a daily basis to ensure Maintenance Control addresses all MEL, CDL, NEF, TRK DMI, and chronic maintenance items within a timely and systematic manner. Ensure the proper coordination of parts requisitioning and parts shipping information by the Maintenance Control AOG staff.
  • In conjunction with the Senior Manager of Maintenance Control, Ops Manager of Maintenance Control, & Manager of Maintenance Planning, provide supervision of all planned or scheduled AOG Maintenance Control items, work requests, special projects, and heavy maintenance non-routine items are accomplished as required. Ensure all internal communication between departments is accurate, timely, and effective.
  • Provide the Senior Manager of Maintenance Control with routine departmental status reports. Provide ATI customers with timely status reports as required per contractional requirements.
  • Ensure all Maintenance Control AOG Staff and AOG Team is properly trained & follow all requirements as set forth by the General Maintenance Manual and Training Program. Makes specific recommendations in order to correct deficiencies and Improve the Maintenance Control Department as they become evident.
  • Review all delays and cancellations in order to help identify preventable contributory factors. Relay all findings to the Senior Manager of Maintenance Control.
  • Other duties, assignments, or responsibilities as required by the Senior Manager of Maintenance Control.


Position Requirements:



  • Must complete a DOT/FAA pre-employment drug screen and a DOT/FAA complaint background check
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of five (10) years' experience in heavy transport category aircraft.
  • Prior supervisory and maintenance control experience
  • Must have good organizational skills, and excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Shall hold a valid Airframe and Powerplant license (FAR 121.378a)


Preferred Job Skills:



  • Boeing 757, 767 Line Maintenance Experience
  • Supervisory / Management Training and Certifications
  • Associate or Bachelor degree in a business related discipline


Physical Requirements:



  • Employees are regularly required to, stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard.
  • Comply with ATI attendance requirements
  • Light to moderate lifting is required
