The Role

Amphenol Aerospace Operations is seeking a Materials Planner to work out of its brand new, state-of-the-art facility in Mesa to assist the Planning Supervisor in managing the complete materials control function in their assigned area. This includes capacity requirements planning, machine center loading, materials requirement planning of purchased and manufactured components and prioritizing of work schedule.

The key responsibilities of this Materials Planner include, but are not limited to:



  • Coordinates activities of Planning, Purchasing and Manufacturing to maximize the effective loading and scheduling of the department
  • Evaluates capacity requirements and advises supervision of forecasted load
  • Schedules, prioritizes and follows contracts throughout the area and coordinates with supervision and process engineering to ensure that schedules are attained
  • Performs related clerical duties such as log-in/out of production contracts
  • May be required to act as backup to supervision when supervisor is out
  • Responsible for the integrity of front sheets, prints and engineering changes on the floor
  • Makes recommendations for improving production flow and operating efficiencies

The Person

The key skills and qualities of a Materials Planner at Amphenol Aerospace Operations:



  • High school diploma
  • Minimum 1 year experience
  • Equivalent education/work experience
  • Working knowledge of Data 3 preferred
  • Competency in Microsoft Excel is required
