Senior Project Coordinator

Netsmart is seeking a results-driven Senior Project Coordinator to lead large, complex public sector initiatives with precision, foresight, and a focus on innovation. This role demands a strategic thinker and proactive leader to manage cross-functional teams, drive project lifecycles from planning through stakeholder acceptance, and ensure timely, budget-aligned delivery. The ideal candidate brings proven expertise in navigating complexity, applying project governance, and leveraging digital automation and AI to enhance operational efficiency. With a strong foundation in project management and change leadership, this individual will ensure alignment with organizational goals while fostering collaboration across departments. In this position, you will support the public sectorby helping communities with a versatile platform. Netsmart offers an easy-to-use, high-tech solution for services like behavioral health, addiction treatment, social services, and more. With our experience working with cities, states, and counties, you'll be part of a team that brings innovative solutions to the industry.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery within established timelines, budget constraints and quality standards

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, track milestones, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to keep initiatives on schedule

  • Monitor project performance through data analysis and reporting, providing regular status updates and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders

  • Create and maintain project documentation including requirements, specifications, schedules, and status reports

  • Facilitate effective communication between team members and departments to align project objectives with organizational goals

  • Integrate digital automation tools and AI-powered solutions into project workflows to streamline operations and improve team productivity

  • Support change management initiatives by coordinating training and providing resources to help teams adapt to new processes and technologies

Qualifications
Required

  • Ability to work onsite in our Overland Park, KS

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience

  • PMP Certification

  • At least 2 years project coordination experience

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and project management software, with strong analytical and data visualization capabilities

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to effectively engage stakeholders at all organizational levels

  • Outstanding organizational and time management abilities with experience establishing project controls and maintaining documentation

  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with experience facilitating change management and process improvement initiatives

Preferred

  • Experience working with automation technologies and AI-enabled business tools, with ability to identify opportunities for process improvement through technology adoption

Expectations

  • Up to 20% travel
  • Position may at times require extended or irregular hours outside of traditional office hours to support clients and projects across multiple time zones and any required travel
