Are you ready to take your career to the next level? SCS Engineers is seeking an enthusiastic Environmental Services Director to join our dynamic team serving the Georgia/Southeastern US market. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about leading and growing all aspects of our environmental services (ES) market in Georgia, while also serving our existing ES clients.

As an Environmental Services Director, you will provide technical support to projects in all phases of work and a variety of scopes. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, conceptual design, environmental site characterization, monitoring, permitting, remediation design, regulatory reporting, procurement, and construction. You will work on diverse projects such as Phase 1 and Phase 2 Environmental Site Assessments, Soil and Groundwater Assessment and Remediation, Brownfield Redevelopment, Environmental Compliance, Liquids Management Issues, and Air Permitting and Compliance Reporting.

How you can make an impact

    You will wear several hats, including Project Management responsibility, growing the ES Practice, and serving as a Seller-Doer.
  • Develop and maintain long-lasting and meaningful relationships with prospective client leadership and staff. Build rapport and trust with clients, offering solutions to complex problems.
  • Integrate and engage with SCS SMEs to obtain guidance and support SCS contracting and delivery standards.
  • Ensure work is performed safely, ethically, within budget, according to client requirements and schedule and with exceptional quality.
  • Prepare effective communications (e.g., memos, presentations, analysis) to support program policy changes, critical management decisions, corrective actions, or other key decisions. Manage and be responsible for coordination, strategies, budgets to optimize financial performance, minimize risk and control outcomes for Georgia and regional projects.
  • Lead, Hire and retain a team of focused professionals to grow SCS's Transition business.
  • Monitor market conditions, innovations, and trends; and competitors' performance, pricing, and sales strategies to maximize competitive stance.
  • Assume responsibility for identifying and capitalizing upon new opportunities for enhancing services in alignment with evolving client, market, or customer needs.
  • Provide leadership, support, and actively participate in relevant industry and stakeholder groups.
  • Lead company capabilities presentations with clients and prospective clients; attend industry events including regional trade shows to expand market penetration of SCS services.
  • Collaborate with existing clients and SCS operations and project staff to enhance the client relationships and expand business opportunities across existing accounts.
  • Draft and review proposals
  • Collaborate with leadership, escalating key issues in a timely manner to garner support, bringing insights, guidance and/or resources back to the project or program team as appropriate.
  • Allocate and manage staff and resources to meet objectives and continuously investigate and implement ways to improve operational efficiency.
  • Interpretation and evaluation of scientific data.
  • Provide technical support to projects in all phases of work and a variety of scopes that include but are not limited to conceptual design, environmental site characterization, monitoring, permitting, remediation design, regulatory reporting procurement, and construction. These may include Phase 1 and Phase 2 Environmental Site Assessments, Soil and Groundwater Assessment and Remediation, Brownfield Redevelopment, Environmental Compliance, Liquids Management Issues, Air Permitting and Compliance Reporting.


Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Masters of Science in an environmental-related science or engineering field required
  • Minimum of 10 years of related work experience required
  • Minimum of 5 years working at an environmental consulting firm preferred
  • Business Development experience in the Georgia market required
  • Georgia Registered Professional Geologist (P.G.) or Engineer (P.E.)

  • Valid driver's license and driving record in good standing required


Pay Range

USD $130,000.00 - USD $150,000.00 /Yr.
