Auria is seeking a full-time Program/Business Development Manager (Contingent). This dual role (50/50) position will lead Auria execution of a subcontract program while concurrently supporting growth initiatives within the greater Huntsville area. This contingent hybrid position is located in our Huntsville, AL office, reports directly to the Strategic & Defense Solutions (SDS) Business Unit General Manager, and will require up to 10% travel annually and weekly coordination with the Chief Growth Officer. Salary Range: $150,000 - $180,000 Program Description: As a Program/Business Development Manager you will be responsible for all aspects of program management to include administrative, personnel and resource management, providing technical direction, managing cost, schedule and performance, supporting or leading monthly and quarterly program management/business metric reviews, and ensuring compliance with Auria's program management and related corporate policies. You will also apply your program management, business development, and capture skills to support opportunity identification/qualification, capture and proposal development activities promoting corporate growth initiatives. Responsibilities:
- Responsible for developing and maintaining customer program relationships.
- Works with Auria recruiting team to provide a fully qualified workforce for program execution; ensures attainment of technical training/qualifications required for contract execution.
- Manages all aspects of the program budget job cost reports, purchase orders, forecasts, direct labor, indirect labor, travel, awards, education/training expenses, etc.
- Manages achievement of program short- and long-range objectives, quality standards and schedule
- Fully understands all contract requirements and deliverables; reports program status; and keeps program and executive teams informed through bi-weekly reporting & direct employee engagement
- Proactively manages program scope; reviews/approves/submits all CDRLs; identifies program risks, applies mitigation strategies and tracks retirement of risks through Auria's risk registry
- Maintains program related artifacts to ensure compliance with internal/external audits
- Prepares and conducts periodic program management reviews with the executive team.
- Facilitates procurement and property management functions as required
- Coordinates directly with the Auria Facility Security Officer (FSO) to ensure compliance with individual security and program directed clearance requirements.
- Identifies and promotes on-program growth (i.e., direct staff or new Task Order (TO) growth)
- Leads BU program transition/on- and off-ramp activities, in collaboration with corporate staff.
- In collaboration with the Chief Growth Office, contributes to generating business development, capture and proposal activities, to include providing program management and technical expertise
- Establishes strong relationships internally with corporate leadership/staff and externally with government, the defense industrial base and commercial suppliers.
- Supports cross-functional teams through full cycle captures, including providing input to market research, opportunity assessment, capture execution, and proposal development
- Contributes to understanding of customer needs, critical gaps and technical requirements to inform development of value propositions, win strategies and plans.
- Maintains strong relationships and regular interface with defense industry peers to evaluate and support superior organizational teaming.
- Supports pursuit recommendations to facilitate timely and informed decision making.
- Contributes to milestone reviews, including PTW strategies, competitive analysis, technical and management baselines, and proposal and cost reviews.
- Leads development of program management/schedule/IMS in support of proposals
Basic Qualifications:
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Currently possesses or be able to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance.
- Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of acquisition, engineering and/or related business experience.
- 5+ years program management/5+ years Business Development/capture experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity, software development, and agile development requirements
- Demonstrated ability to develop, manage, and successfully lead teams in program execution
- Experience with transition and on-ramp to new programs
- Experience with managing a portfolio of multiple projects/programs; ability to manage several projects, tasks and issues simultaneously by implementing effective time management skills.
- Proficient in estimating, scheduling, budgeting/cost control and understanding project cost reports and other pertinent financial data.
- Ability to exercise sound and independent judgment within general policy guidelines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; attention to detail and accuracy are a must.
- Skilled in creating, assembling and editing written proposals, reports and submittals.
- Knowledge of military space, air force, army, and missile defense systems and capabilities.
- Demonstrated experience supporting successful capture of full and open prime, Other Transaction Authority (OTA) and multi-award ID/IQ opportunities.
- Experience reading and analyzing RFPs, creating capture plans and schedules, and managing teams and work products.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain strong customer and industry relationships/networks.
- Understanding of pricing and estimating strategies as well as proposal cost structures/elements.
- Familiar with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), TINA statute, OTA and/or other Government procurement regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification strongly preferred.
- Capture Management certification through an industry recognized program (i.e., OEM, Shipley, etc.).
- MA/MS in acquisition, engineering, or business-related discipline.
- Strong government/industrial base relationships with MDA, USA, DEVCOM, USAF, NASA, and SDA strongly preferred.
