Security Officer - Armed Patrol

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol in Land O Lakes, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As an Armed Patrol Officer in a government setting, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide a reassuring presence. This role requires carrying a firearm and may involve driving responsibilities. You will interact with the public, respond to incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

Job Schedule:

Responsibilities:

Provide customer service to clients by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the government facility and its perimeter, adapting to varying working environments and conditions.
• Assist in helping to deter unauthorized activities and security-related incidents through visible presence and patrols.
• Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or unusual activities according to established protocols.
• Collaborate with local authorities and emergency responders when required during incidents or emergencies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Florida Security Professional Guard Card required.
• Armed Security Officer designation required.
• Valid driver's license required in the state of employment.
• Completion of a law enforcement or military police training program, or equivalent experience, is required.
• Possession of an Armed Guard Card/License is required.
• Possession of a Corrections Officer License is required.
• Possession of a Law Enforcement Officer License is required.
• Authorization to carry handcuffs is required for this post.
• Authorization to carry pepper spray is required for this post.
• Authorization to carry a sidearm is required for this post.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
