JOB TITLE: WRTBI Field Research Internship JOB PURPOSE: Intern for Wind River Tribal Buffalo Initiative ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This Graduate Student Researcher Internship offers a unique opportunity to conduct impactful research for a tribal non-profit organization during the summer. The intern will assist in field-based data collection, literature review, analysis, and compiling information to support the academic research of the Wind River Tribal Buffalo Initiative. Their work will help the Initiative make informed decisions and assist staff with unique day-to-day activities as they arise. Under the supervision of the Science Director, the intern will gather data related to bison populations on the Wind River Indian Reservation and their surrounding ecosystems. This role emphasizes cultural reconnection, community collaboration, and effective communication while providing practical research experience. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to diverse field conditions are essential for success in this position. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
