Responsibilities
Summary The Facility Director manages the daily operations of a community corrections facility by supervising and essential programming services to transition clients from the client sentenced from the judicial system. The position ensures the quality of programs and compliance with the Company, state, and client contractual requirements. This position is also responsible for managing the facility's budget and supervising the staff at the facility. Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- The Facility Director oversees the integration of Department of Criminal Justice (DCJ) Standards in all operational components to include security, accountability, individualized case planning, specialized programs; and the Progression Matrix, B-Smart Rewards and Sanctions Program, Physical Plant, food service, vocational and GED programs, facility evidence-based programs, assessments, family reunification functions, wrap around/support services.
- Adheres to and inspects facility to ensure compliance with American Correctional Association (ACA), Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA), Colorado Department of Criminal Justice Standards (CDCJ), and El Paso County Division of Justice Services contractual requirements, Security and Sanitation surveys, Colorado Department of Health (CDOH) standards, Sex Offender Management Behavioral Program (SOMB) and Colorado Behavioral Health Administration (CBHA) laws, standards, and, company policies and procedures.
- The Facility Director supervises specialized treatment services.
- Develops strategic plan and Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) to implement goals and strategies to meet the mission and vision of the program.
- The Facility Director oversees the hiring, training and supervision of all facility employees and performs staff evaluations and accountability.
- Acts as liaison with contracting agencies/funding sources and other entities such as local Community Corrections agencies.
- The Facility Director responds to non-routine resident request slips and official inquiries.
- Conducts facility investigations.
- The Facility Director ensures physical plant is maintained through appropriate use of facility budget and CAPex requests. Seeks opportunities to enhance facility revenues.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in human services field or Criminal Justice plus five (5) years of progressive experience in management from a correctional setting. Professional Experience will substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.
- Five (5) years of experience working with clients sentenced to the criminal justice system.
- Valid driver's license from the state in which the duties are performed.
- Ability to establish relationships and partnerships with state, local, and judicial bodies.
- Experience managing emergency responses and critical incidents.
- Excellent communication and written skills.
