Brief Summary of Work for this Position |
The Community Engagement Research Specialist will assist with conducting research to inform the co-creation of a research project focused on maternal and child health.
KEY
DUTIES
AND
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Conduct a literature review to update our current understanding of culturally competent prenatal care and delivery.
* Identify gaps in information related to culturally competent health care related to maternal and infant health
* Analyze methodologies used by other research teams, including the types of questions asked and the differences between studies using listening-focused groups versus surveys.
* Investigate factors that can inform awareness and sensitivity in health providers, including past successful practices.
* Determine best practices for timing interviews related to pregnancy and delivery, considering the impact of time intervals such as 5 or 10 years post-delivery.
* Perform other duties as assigned. |
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements |
Strong organizational skills.
* Research and analytical skills
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other relevant software |
