Manufacturing Point-of-Use Technician

The Role:

Entegris is currently seeking an Manufacturing Point-of-Use Technician to join our Microcontamination Division. This position will be at our San Luis Obispo, CA facility.

In this role, you will be responsible for performing tasks related to building Ultra High Purity Systems and subassemblies in a class 100 cleanroom work environment. This will include, but not limited to; mechanical and electrical assembly based on engineering drawings and/or work instructions while wearing required cleanroom garments and protective equipment. This position is expected to always operate in a safe manner and comply with all applicable work instructions.

What You'll Do:

• Work from instructions, drawings, schematics, piping and instrumentation drawings, illustrations, and process documentation to assemble a variety of mechanical, electrical subassemblies and systems with supervision.
• Work in Class 100 (ISO 5) environment wearing the appropriate required garments.
• Follow verbal instructions.
• Build sub-assemblies with supervision.
• Install tube fittings using VCR, and Compression fittings with supervision.
• Follow engineering and customer requirement specifications to produce quality and accurate products in a timely manner.
• Perform routine, repetitive assembly operations and processes to produce quality and accurate products in a timely manner.
• Complete 6S responsibilities (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain, safety).
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment and maintain or increase On-Time Shipments.
• Work safely and recognize the safety of others.
• Provide accuracy and consistency in work performance.
• Learn proper measuring techniques, tool use, care, and quality standards.
• Work with a team as well as independently when needed.
• Any other duties as assigned.

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• 0-2 years' experience mechanical assembly and/or relevant experience.
• Ability to learn to navigate through operating system to find BOMs, drawings and instructions.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50lbs daily.
• Ability to climb ladders and be on your feet for extended periods of time.
• Focus on attention to detail to drive plant safety and product quality.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.
• Ability to learn how handle material responsibly.
• Dependability and flexibility to work over-time and weekends to support business needs.
