Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Information Systems Security Officer - ISSO to support our customers with Cybersecurity Integration in the 96th Test Wing at Eglin AFB, FL.

Work Location: Onsite; Eglin AFB, FL

Job Status: Full-Time

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in an applicable discipline.

• 3-10 years experience; 3 years minimum direct experience in a similar role

• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, team-orientated environment.
• Cybersecurity support will require certifications such as Security+, Network+, or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
• Must be DoD 8570.01- M compliant and Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP), as required.
• Must have or be able to obtain a DoD security clearance at the Secret level.

Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:

• Provide advice and assistance services in support of implementation of cybersecurity safeguards while developing, coordinating, and implementing short- and long-term strategies.
• Perform, assess, write, manage, and/or maintain Authority to Operate (ATO) and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) credentials while interpreting and integrating all applicable policies, instructions, and procedures according to appropriate Security Classification Guides (SCGs).
• Validate the security and integrity of Information Systems (IS) and assessing the security training of the personnel at the working facility.
• Ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of classified ISs and data using Air Force approved network engineering practices, information security 3.standards, approved industry best practices, and by employing approved new technologies.
• Perform initial and recurring Certification and Accreditations of systems or networks at the appropriate protection level as directed by the appropriate cognizant authority.
• Producing, maintaining, and revising the Cybersecurity Operating Procedure, Systems Security Plans, and maintaining Approval to Operate documentation in eMASS.
• Ensure personnel accessing information systems have proper and current information assurance experience and certifications to perform information assurance functions in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M.
• Manage hardware introduction and release into vaulted areas.
• Generate and collect audit logs for classified systems IAW approved policy.
