HITL Simulation / Electrical Engineer - 96TSSQ

Astrion has an exciting opportunity for an HITL Simulation / Electrical Engineer to support our customers in the 96th Test Wing at Eglin AFB, FL.

Work Location: Onsite; Eglin AFB, FL

Job Status: Full-Time

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Master's degree in Engineering discipline and 10+ years relevant experience.
• Specialized experience in software integration, hardware-in-the-loop systems, simulation environments, and sensor integration.
• Must have experience with post-processing and analyzing test data, to include TSPI, telemetry from the platform and weapon system, data link streams, and the integrated flight simulation.
• Experience running simulations in high performance computing environments in addition to performing MATLAB analysis.
• Must have or be able to obtain a DoD security clearance at the Secret level.

Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:

• Support the GWEF by providing Facility Programming Engineer expertise with HITL simulation testing.
• Conduct simulation studies to support pre/post flight and Verification, Validation, and Accreditation (VV&A) activities.
• Responsible for data analytics techniques and their application to test design and analysis in addition to modeling and simulation experimentation and MATLAB analysis.
• Developing software and hardware modifications to transition simulation components into a HITL environment for tactical weapons and countermeasures systems.
• Conduct research, development, testing, and evaluation using HITL simulation, digital simulation, and scene generation modeling/simulation.
• Develop software and hardware for the projection systems and assist in the integration of those systems into a HITL environment. This will include HITL test activities for countermeasure and multimode systems that span a range of technologies including UV, visible, IR, imaging IR laser, radar and midcourse guidance.
