Network Engineer - 96TSSQ

Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Network Engineer to support our customers in the 96th Test Wing at Eglin AFB, FL.

Work Location: Onsite; Eglin AFB, FL

Job Status: Full-Time

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in an applicable discipline.

• 3-10 years experience; 3 years minimum direct experience in a similar role

• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, team-orientated environment.
• Must have or be able to obtain a DoD security clearance at the Secret level.

Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:

• Support some of the following areas, but not limited to: maintenance, configuration and operation of Linux and limited Windows computer systems in a multi-/system server High Performance Computing (HPC) environment and building and installation of system images and patches for production and development systems.
• Ensure local services are sustained and reliable with recoverable capabilities in the event of unforeseen circumstances to include account management, storage arrays and disaster recovery at multiple classification levels.
• Provide support for application development, planning, network implementation, system integration, communications support, computer maintenance, asset management, and security controls for machines they are integrated with inside the 96 RNCS.
• Provide test area support with collecting, controlling, documenting, and preserving information system physical/logical layout and configuration.
• Aid in the cybersecurity and accreditations processes to gain/maintain Authority to Operate (ATO) for systems and networks; and provide systems training to users and testers.
• Provide advice and assistance services in support of software development, configuration management (CM), and software acceptance test (SAT) activities for live mission support, system data acquisition, post mission data analysis, and business support software.
