Overview

Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Software Integration Engineer to providing RF engineering support to our customers in the 96th Test Wing at Eglin AFB, FL.

Work Location: Onsite; Eglin AFB, FL

Job Status: Full-Time

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in an applicable discipline.

  • 3-10 years experience

  • Experience with conducting automated tests, analyzing results, and validating system performance against defined specifications, identifying defects and performance bottlenecks.

  • Strong proficiency in Python and Linux programming and software development

  • Solid understanding of test automation principles and software testing methodologies.

  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, team-orientated environment.

  • Must have or be able to obtain a DoD security clearance at the Secret level.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with RF test equipment (e.g., spectrum analyzers, signal generators, network analyzers) and RF testing methodologies.
  • Experience with conducting automated tests, analyzing results, and validating system performance against defined specifications, identifying defects and performance bottlenecks.
  • Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines for test automation.
  • Understanding of hardware-software integration and debugging tools (e.g.,oscillpscopes, logic analyzers).
  • Familiarity with Hierarchical Data Formats (e.g., HDF5).

Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:

  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Linux and Python to communicate with test equipment
  • Interface with test equipment via Ethernet and Serial communication protocols.
  • Design and execute test plans for hardware and software systems.
  • Create modular and reuseable test automation frameworks to support scalable testing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify testing requirements.
  • Document test procedures and results for traceability and compliance.
