The Senior AV Technician is a subject matter expert (SME) for all AV technologies and spaces at Broad. Senior technicians are responsible for front-line operations and support, working hand-in-hand with Broad's user community to ensure the success of their collaborative events. This position demands both deep technical knowledge and top-class customer service. Duties and Responsibilities Act as an AV technical expert and thought partner collaborating across BITS and the Broad Primary support person for tier 1 and VIP event support Responsible for documenting and communicating new feature releases of AV technology Responsible for the upkeep and life cycle maintenance of AV systems Oversee tracking and management of inventory Ability to learn and set up new hardware and software when Broad changes AV technology Assisting and setting up cross-training with other members of the team to ensure a variety of skills within the team Ability to manage small-scale projects, ensuring acute tracking and successful implementations Provide technical assistance in troubleshooting of all on-campus AV equipment and associated SaaS platforms Main point of contact for escalations, questions, and advanced troubleshooting Responsible for maintaining and creating AV documentation; both user-facing KBs and back-end SOPs and technical documentation Provide training for junior team members as well as Broadies at large Requirements 5+ years experience in AV technology and events field Proven track record of successfully supporting VIP events/meetings Excellent communication skills, bridging between technical, customer service, and business disciplines Demonstrated project management and technical leadership capacities Expertise in both time-critical solution troubleshooting and end-to-end AV system RCA Ability to read and critique complex AV design documents (DDs) and construction drawings (CDs) Desired QualificationsCompetency with but not limited to: Crestron systems and XiO Cloud, Extron, Shure, Biamp, NEAT, QSC, QSYS, Dante, Zoom/Zoom Rooms, Google Workspace, Microsoft Teams, and Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android endpoint devices Understanding of ITILv4 and project management methodologies (both agile and waterfall) CTS, CTS-D, or CTS-I Advanced Networking/IP knowledge (Net+ or CCNA levels) Working ConditionsNormal office conditions Ability to lift up to 50 lb's Fully onsite position
