The Electrician will install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures. Ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes according to the National Electrical Code (NEC), Federal regulations and OSHA safety standards. May build or install transformers, service panel boxes, or electrical control systems. The Electrician will possess previous work experience (college degree or trade school), certifications and licenses required by the State where work is to be performed. Being able to work in various working condition is a must. The Electrician may spend their time working inside buildings under construction or renovation or outdoors on power, tower, broadcast, and telecommunications systems.
Electrician
- Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures using hand tools and power tools.
- Read blueprints or technical diagrams.
- Build electrical components, such as power trays, junction boxes, interfaces, and circuits to required specifications.
- Identify electrical problems using a variety of testing tools and strategies
- Follow state and local building codes/regulations based on the National Electric Code.
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to identify the cause and to correct the problem.

Driving
- Load material or equipment for transport from the shop to the jobsite and secure as appropriate
- Transport materials and equipment to and from job sites
- Operate all company vehicles in accordance with local laws/regulations in a safe and courteous manner
- Conduct daily inspections of the vehicle and immediately report any problems or damage, or maintenance issues to your manager or the fleet manager
- Keep assigned vehicles clean and orderly
- Comply with all DOT and in-house regulations and rules
- Complete a daily log and submit reports of mileage/hours covered at EOD
- Drive vehicle to worksites

Safety
- Promote, execute and adhere to the company's safety program
- Attend daily and weekly safety meetings and inspections
- Work in a safe, responsible manner to not intentionally or unintentionally injure oneself or endanger the wellbeing of others
- Cooperate with safety personnel, supervisors, and managers to ensure proper procedures are carried out according to the Company's Safety Policies.
- Working environments often involve live electrical wires, so they can be quite dangerous if the proper precautions aren't taken

- Participate as a vital crew member and contribute towards the success of the project and the organization
- Promote a team approach and maintain communications with all employees to exchange information and gather ideas
- Collaborate with other company personnel to meet organizational deadlines and objectives
- Complete daily reports and timecards and support the construction manager

Education |
- High school diploma/GED preferred
|
Experience |
- 3 yrs in electrical field required
|
Licenses/ Certification/ Registration |
- Current driver's license required (Commercial driver's license preferred)
- Must be able to obtain DOT Medical Card, if no CDL, due to gross weight on vehicles
- State approved licenses and certifications for applicable installations.

Special knowledge, skills, & abilities |
- Understanding and use of non-verbal commands for heavy equipment operation
- Work schedule will require open availability including weekends, holidays and overnights as determined by the needs of the business; must be flexible
- Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment, post-offer background check and drug test
