WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
  • Partner with our Project Management and Engineering teams to identify new parts called out on Specification sheets and other pertinent Engineering documentation for part creation and library organization.
  • Enter item data with accuracy and completeness, including appropriate numbering conventions, part description, supplier information and technical data.
  • Partner with multi-functional teams to understand data needs to streamline Purchasing, Design and Material flows with Part # creation and associated details.
  • Monitor changes in product specifications and update associated part library in ERP and 3D Design Operational systems.
  • In collaboration with others, define the part number and data strategy, roadmap for implementation and execution.
  • Collaborate with internal customers to simplify the use of the Item Master database when completing Design work.
  • Maintain Parts within the Lifecycle so that Database is always accurate and up to date so that 3D CAD Design and BOM creation is streamlined.
YOU HAVE:
  • Ideally, associate's degree or equivalent experience in CAD Design, Mechanical or Electrical Design.
  • Experience with electrical components and nomenclature.
  • Demonstrated ability to be thorough with a desire to keep a large amount of clean, consistent data in multiple systems.
  • Strong communication with multiple parties and levels across the organization.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple competing tasks.
  • Process focused with computer and tool knowledge of ERP & PDM systems.
