This position will be partially based in the following office location:

Manchester, NH

For hybrid roles, employees must be able to commute to Manchester, NH on a regular basis.

The opportunity

The Site Services Engineer reports directly to the Manager of Site Services. You will assist the Site Services IT team supporting university infrastructure with the focus on technology that integrates with our locations. As the Site Services Engineer, you will work in close collaboration with multiple other teams across the university solving business problems using technology models by analyzing, recommending, implementing, and supporting solutions. This role is Hybrid, requiring occasional on-site work in our Manchester, NH headquarters office. #LI-Hybrid

What You'll Do:

  • You will support and maintain the SNHU technology that powers our physical locations.
  • You will be a contact for related incidents, requests, changes, and problems, following ITIL process.
  • You will help manage multiple vendors and partners.
  • You will support multiple reporting and data collections in respects to capacity, lifecycle.
  • You will support with managing badge-access, related Infrastructure.
  • You will help integrate building systems with existing network devices.
  • You will help troubleshooting and resolution of escalated tickets and service requests.
  • You will configure and maintain multiple types of "IoT" solutions and devices.
  • You will configure and maintain university safety systems to support the Public Safety Department such as emergency and safety phone lines.
  • You will work to independently develop and approach to situations.
  • You will evaluate latest technologies and make recommendations for improvement.
  • You will oversee the physical access and configuration needed for auditing and security of our physical ITS locations.
  • You will create and present material to help inform decisions based on environment.
  • You will create and maintain technical documentation detailing system requirements, design, implementation and administration procedures, and architecture standards.
  • You will respond during non-business hours to critical issues.
  • You will collaborate with university faculty, ITS, and the student population in a support role.
  • You will communicate technical support to non-technical personnel at all levels.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

What We're Looking For:

  • 3+ years experience managing, maintaining network systems, and telecommunications technologies.
  • 3+ years experience supporting complex IT projects involving facilities, physical infrastructure and large teams, supporting building/office moves, expansions and decommissions.
  • Professional certification(s) like: Cisco Certified Network Associate or similar network certification.
  • Experience with higher education industry facilities, software systems.

Compensation

The annual pay range for this position is $75,528.00 - $120,865.00. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations. We expect this position to be hired in the following target hiring range $83,457.00 - $112,912.00.
