Overview

The Manager of Operational Decision Support is responsible for driving operational efficiency and supporting strategic growth initiatives through comprehensive market analysis and operational support. This role focuses on identifying market trends, optimizing operational workflows, and partnering with the Finance and Revenue Integrity teams to enhance overall performance. The Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, using data-driven insights to guide strategic decisions and foster a culture of continuous improvement.


Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Market Analysis and Strategic Insights:

  • Conduct in-depth market analyses, evaluating trends such as payer mix shifts, demographic changes, and competitive positioning.

  • Identify operational opportunities for growth, including new service lines and expansion into new geographic markets.

  • Provide actionable market intelligence to leadership, aiding in the development of strategic business plans that support operational excellence.

Operational Support & Decision-Making:

  • Collaborate with operational leaders to develop strategies aimed at improving departmental efficiency and overall organizational effectiveness.

  • Monitor the performance of key strategic initiatives, providing regular updates and data-driven recommendations to leadership.

  • Use decision support tools like StrataJazz to generate operational and performance reports, turning complex data into clear insights for key stakeholders.

Cross-Functional Team Leadership:

  • Work closely with clinical, financial, and operational teams to align priorities and streamline processes across departments.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on operational decision support and data tools, providing training and guidance to colleagues.

  • Encourage a data-driven approach to problem-solving and decision-making, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.

Revenue Integrity Collaboration:

  • Partner with the Revenue Integrity team to identify opportunities for operational improvements that impact revenue optimization.

  • Work with cross-functional teams, including finance and clinical departments, to resolve discrepancies, enhance charge capture, and ensure accurate reporting for operational purposes.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

  • 3-5 years of experience in market analysis, operational support, healthcare operations, or a related field.

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for operational teams.

  • Proficiency in using StrataJazz or similar decision-support tools is highly preferred.

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams to achieve operational objectives and strategic goals.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex findings in a clear and concise manner.

  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills, with a focus on optimizing operational workflows
