Role Summary

Rivian is seeking a dynamic and highly experienced Lead Producer to lead the strategic development and execution of our high-profile tentpole events and launches. The Lead Producer will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of event production, from concept and planning to on-site management and post-event analysis. This role demands a creative visionary with exceptional leadership skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a proven track record of delivering impactful event experiences and programs.


Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Development:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive event strategies that align with the company's overall objectives and brand identity.
  • Conceptualize and create innovative event formats, themes, and experiences that engage target audiences.
  • Conduct thorough market research and competitor analysis to identify industry trends and best practices.
  • Establish and manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and maximizing ROI.

Production & Execution:

  • Lead and manage all phases of event production, including venue selection, vendor negotiation, logistics, and on-site management.
  • Oversee the development of detailed event timelines, production schedules, and critical paths.
  • Direct and coordinate the work of internal teams and external vendors
  • Ensure seamless execution of all event elements, including staging, lighting, sound, video, and catering.
  • Manage risk assessment and contingency planning to address potential challenges and ensure event success.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders, building strong relationships and ensuring clear communication.
  • Present event concepts and proposals to senior management, effectively communicating the value and impact of proposed initiatives.
  • Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to develop event promotion and communication strategies.
  • Manage post-event follow-up, including feedback collection, reporting, and analysis.

Team Leadership & Management:

  • Build and lead a high-performing event production team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
  • Foster a collaborative and creative work environment, encouraging innovation and excellence.
  • Manage team performance, providing regular feedback and conducting performance reviews.
  • Delegate tasks effectively and ensure clear communication across the team.

Financial & Administrative Management:

  • Manage event budgets, track expenses, and ensure adherence to financial guidelines.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
  • Prepare detailed event reports, including budget summaries, ROI analysis, and post-event evaluations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in event management, marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in event production, with a proven track record of successfully managing large-scale, high-profile events. Product launch experience a bonus.
  • Extensive knowledge of event planning, production, and logistics.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in event management software and tools is a plus
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong financial management skills.
  • Creative problem solving skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%

Pay Disclosure

Salary Range for California Based Applicants: $112,100 to $140,100 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).

Benefits Summary: Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time and part-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Full Time Employee coverage is effective on the first day of employment. Part-Time employee coverage is effective the first of the month following 90 days of employment.
