MACHINE MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
SUMMARY
Works in cooperation with all departments to coordinate the safety, maintenance, and equipment needs of the facility.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Maintain, fix, service, overhaul or replace defective parts, for the highest quality and longest life of assigned equipment.
  • Ensure assigned equipment is in accordance with manufactured and company specifications.
  • Make preventative maintenance checks and inspection of assigned equipment. Report to supervisor and take appropriate action.
  • Assist and direct service personnel such as lift operator, truck drivers, welders, in standard operating procedures and requirements.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform Preventive maintenance grease, oil, change filters and belts or other usable items.
  • May operate equipment during relief periods and while troubleshooting equipment.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
The Machine Maintenance Technician will be required to have a High school degree and equivalent work experience. 1-3+
years experience in a manufacturing work environment. Required is a hands-on experience and training with Hydraulic, Pneumatic, Electrical Wiring and NEC code, and PLC programming. Must have good working knowledge of Machining and welding.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
The Machine Maintenance Technician is required to have the ability to read and comprehend complex instructions and procedures. Also, required is the ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
The Machine Maintenance Technician will need the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. A good working knowledge of geometric and precision measuring tools is required.
REASONING ABILITY
The Machine Maintenance Technician must have the ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions and to deal with complex equipment problems.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid driver's license and a good driving record is required and must pass an ATF background check.
