Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Dynamics and Environmental Testing Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, managing, executing, and analyzing dynamics and environmental tests to validate the performance, durability, and reliability of components and systems under a variety of physical conditions. You will work closely with design, quality, and technician teams to ensure that testing meet customer requirements, regulatory standards, and internal specifications.

Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 DOE



Responsibilities

    Develop detailed test plans and procedures for vibration, shock, thermal, altitude, humidity, combined environment testing and etc.
  • Perform dynamics and environmental testing using equipment such as electrodynamic shakers, temperature chambers, thermal-vacuum chambers, and drop testers.
  • Analyze and interpret test data, comparing results to design expectations and applicable standards (e.g., MIL-STD-810, RTCA/DO-160, ASTM).
  • Support test setups including instrumentation (accelerometers, strain gauges, thermocouples, etc.) and data acquisition system configurations.
  • Troubleshoot issues during testing, working collaboratively with engineering and operations teams to resolve problems.
  • Generate comprehensive test reports documenting methods, results, anomalies, and corrective actions.
  • Ensure that all testing activities comply with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in test methodologies, processes, and laboratory operations.


Skills / Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.
  • 1+ year of experience in dynamics, vibration, and/or environmental testing (academic, internship, or professional).
  • Hands-on experience with test equipment such as electrodynamic shakers, environmental chambers, and data acquisition systems.
  • Familiarity with relevant standards and specifications (e.g., MIL-STD-810, ISO, ASTM, RTCA/DO-160).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Preferred:

    • Experience with environmental stress screening (ESS) and highly accelerated life testing (HALT/HASS).
    • Proficiency with test control software (e.g., Daisylab, Vibration Research, etc)
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
