Description

We are seeking a Project Coordinator to join our pharmacy consulting practice. This candidate will work directly with our project manager, consultants, and internal staff. This position requires project management experience using Microsoft Office tools, the ability to multi-task and manage several projects at one time, and the ability to work closely with a diverse team.

What You Will Do

In this role, you will have the following responsibilities:



  • Support the maintenance of the pharmacy project list and internal initiatives, marketing activities, and client projects.
  • Understand, identify, and track project status, team commitments, and resource needs. Coordinate and adjust project schedules, as needed.
  • Report project status to internal consultants and project managers.
  • Collaborate effectively with highly specialized technical experts who may require project management support.
  • Work with internal teams to identify and mitigate possible roadblocks before they occur.
  • Follow processes to ensure project documentation is managed according to internal procedures.
  • Take meeting minutes and manage team members' schedules.
  • Draft and format documents, presentations, and other deliverables to ensure a consistent and professional appearance, adhering to company templates and style guide.
  • Maintain project proposal and report templates for consistent presentation across various projects and consultants.
  • Create and maintain internal pharmacy training and resource documentation.
  • Support process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, consistency, and quality in project delivery.


What We Are Looking For

Professional Qualifications

Required



  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 0 to 3 years of project management experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Exceptional writing and verbal communication skills.


Preferred



  • 1 to 3 years of experience working in the pharmacy benefits industry.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Access, Planner, SharePoint, and Teams.
  • Experience with updating and maintaining project documentation for small to medium scale projects.


Personal Qualifications



  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage and drive projects forward.
  • Highly organized and able to collect, organize, and manage large amounts of project information.
  • Understands how to collaborate with various stakeholders, when to push, when to hold back. Comfortable in dealing with different organization levels.
  • Analytical mindset with strong critical thinking skills who is able to work independently and as a team.
  • Strong willingness to learn new skills, and work on tasks, as needed, to support the team as a whole.


The Team

This candidate will work directly with our Pharmacy team's project manager, consultants, pharmacists, and internal staff. Milliman's San Diego healthcare practice provides consulting services to clients in the healthcare industry including health plans, government payers, providers, and reinsurers.

Location

This role is based out of the Milliman office in San Diego, but candidates hired into this role could work remotely anywhere in the US. This position is open to in office, hybrid, or remote working locations.

Compensation

This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Employees in this role are eligible for overtime pay for hours worked beyond 40 in a workweek. The salary range is $47,000 - $89,000, depending on a combination of factors, including, but not limited to, education, relevant work experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, location, etc.
