About us

JLL's Corporate Sustainability Team is responsible for managing a globalprogram that achieves its sustainability ambitions. Our sustainability program consists of three priority areas - climate action, healthy spaces, and creating fair and inclusive spaces. We work to drive transformational change across the enterprise and steward JLL's corporate purpose.

The role

We are seeking looking for an experienced ESG data manager to help develop our ESG reporting abilities to ensure the effective monitoring, measuring and management of the delivery of our climate commitments. The role also has responsibility for the full breadth of data collection to meet JLL's sustainability reporting and disclosure commitments.

Responsibilities

  • Data Management and Analysis:

  • Oversight and responsibility for JLL's global ESG data collection process to support reporting, disclosure and the management of our impacts.

  • Creation and maintenance of ESG data quality frameworks

  • Support the development and implementation a roadmap for data quality and acquisition improvement across all areas of JLL's sustainability strategy, with a focus on energy and carbon data.

  • Support the management of commercial activity related to ESG data, including data management platforms, assurance processes and ad hoc consultancy support.

  • Provision of ESG data for mandatory reporting frameworks such as CSRD, and voluntary sustainability frameworks requests such as the DJSI and CDP.

  • Stakeholder Engagement

  • Support data management initiatives, collaborating with key internal functions and stakeholders to drive organizational change and build strategic initiatives to improve ESGdata quality, governance, collection and management procedures across the firm's global operations.

  • Continuously improve ESG data controls, working with internal stakeholders including Internal Audit, Finance and Controllership to ensure data is auditable and prepared in accordance with the firm's internal control framework.

  • General:

  • Support the Corporate Sustainability Team to implement and oversee initiatives to achieve the enterprise sustainability commitments.

  • Responsible for the documentation of data management and quantification processes for priority ESG data areas

  • Contribute to Corporate Sustainability Team collaboration by supporting the management of team systems, maintaining and organizing internal documents, and enhancing new processes related to ESG data.

  • Contribute to fostering a team environment of accountability, excellence, inclusivity, collaboration, and innovation.

Skills and Capabilities

  • Data management and data analytics experience is highly valued, specifically in assessing and managing the data quality of large data sets

  • Strong analytical skills with a proven track record in developing and implementing solutions.

  • Experience with or ability to develop and maintain documents related to data calculations, data management decisions and processes, and inventory management plans (IMPs).

  • Experience working to prepare and submit data for audit processes.

  • Strong organizational, time management, and project management experience and skills.

  • Attention to detail and ability to drive consistency in a team or on a project.

  • Team mentality and experience building strong, professional relationships across global teams and corporate functions.

  • Enthusiastic, self-starter who proactively identifies opportunities and independently drives projects to successful completion.

  • Excels in fast-paced, dynamic environments, showcasing adaptability and persistence to deliver results.

Education and Experience

  • Prior experience with ESG data management and carbon accounting

  • Relevant work experience in a large, corporate environment with a focus on ESG and carbon reporting preferred.

  • Experience with data science and data analytics tools an asset, including experiences with data warehouses, ETL processes, and working with tools like Databricks, SQL, PowerQuery, Python, and other high-code solutions

  • Experience working within data controls framework is a plus

  • Prior experience with ESG reporting technologies such as Microsoft Sustainability Manager, Workiva, Tableau, PowerBI is an asset.

  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.

Other Requirements

Location:North America (with preference to Chicago, Toronto, Boston, Atlanta)

Work-Life Integration (WLI) Designation:1-2 days at the local office and the remainder of work week remote at home

Domestic & International Travel required: 1-3 times per year

Estimated total compensation for this position:

93,500.00 - 165,000.00 USD per year

The total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data .
