Summary
Accountable for interpreting the plan of medical care, assessment of patients' clinical decision-making regarding nursing care, assuring nursing care is provided in a safe and competent manner, providing individualized nursing care, and evaluating nursing care for groups of patients. Acts in lead capacity to other nursing staff.
Essential Functions:
- Maintain accurate, detailed reports, and records.
- Administer medication to patients and monitor patients for reactions or side effects.
- Record patients' medical information and vital signs.
- Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions.
- Collaborates with nurse managers and staff to assess the learning needs and competencies of staff.
- Demonstrates best practices for staff to follow.
- May participate on teams or perform special projects/assignments.
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Complies with all policies and standards

Education

  • Associate's Degree Nursing required

  • Bachelor's Degree Nursing preferred

Licenses and Credentials

  • Active Registered Nurse in the state of NH required

  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support [ACLS Certification] preferred

  • Basic Life Support [BLS] Certificate preferred

  • Oncology Certified Nurse [OCN] preferred

  • Neonatal Resuscitation Certification [NRP] preferred

  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certification preferred

Experience

  • Clinical nursing experience 2-3 years required

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Familiarity with the principles and skills needed for practical nursing to provide patient care and treatment.

  • Knowledgeable of the care required by respective age groups for which care is being provided.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

  • Ability to build strong relationships.

  • Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
