Join Our Team as a part-time Executive Protection Officer at Gallo!

We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant individual to join our team as a part-time Executive Protection Officer. Under minimal supervision, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to observe and protect family members and family-owned property, adhering to all established company and department policies and procedures. Your role is crucial in ensuring a safe and secure environment for our family and assets.

In this role you will monitor vehicle and pedestrian traffic entering and leaving assigned areas, identifying suspicious vehicles and individuals, and obtaining necessary identification. You may be required to utilize lethal and/or non-lethal force when legally justified to protect principals. Reporting all security-related activities and notifying the Security Supervisor or authorities when needed is essential.

You will provide excellent customer service while on mobile patrol, at fixed posts, or during special events, and offer security services for company and family-related functions when required. Investigating security and safety-related accidents and incidents, documenting information, and notifying a supervisor if necessary will be part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you may drive family-owned vehicles and transport family members as assigned, performing special security or safety-related services when directed by Security Management.

Effective communication is key, and you will need to interact professionally, respectfully, and tactfully in both written and oral forms to establish and maintain effective relationships. Exercising discretion in handling confidential information and accommodating reasonable requests of the principals are also important aspects of this role.

What You Will Need

  • High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 3 years of Gallo Security experience to include 1 year of personal protection experience such as ranch post duty, lobby duty, executive driver duty, or other special personal protection duties; OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 3 years of sworn law enforcement experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High School diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 5 years combined experience in a sworn law enforcement position, military and security reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Candidate is required to have a valid driver's license, a safe driving record and reliable vehicle (if applicable) at the time of hire. This position will undergo a motor vehicle check (MVR) to confirm a history of safe and responsible driving. If needed, candidate must obtain the appropriate state driver's license based on the position's location within 30 days of hire.
  • Required to work nights, weekends and holidays as part of a rotating shift (day, swing, and graveyard shifts).
  • Required to work overtime when necessary.
  • Fluent in English (includes reading, writing and speaking).
  • Required to comply with Security department dress code policy.
  • Required to lift up to 50 pounds and drag or move up to 100 pounds.
  • Required to have the physical ability to protect the principal.
  • Within the first week of employment, must successfully complete a course of instruction to obtain and maintain a Guard Card from the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services.
  • Required to maintain a Concealed Weapons permit; and an Exposed Weapons permit from the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services.
  • Required to maintain current CPR/AED and First Aid certification.
  • Required to complete Taser training.
  • Experience reading and interpreting documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Experience writing routine reports and correspondence.
  • Experience speaking effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Experience following instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Experience resolving routine questions and problems; referring the more complex issues supervisor.
  • Experience working independently.
  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
  • Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

What Will Set You Apart

  • Associates Degree.
  • Knowledge of security systems and equipment in a business environment.

Compensation:

  • Hiring Salary Range Posted: $32.84- $44.38/ hour.
  • Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
