Description

    Assisting in developing and implementing configuration management (CM) procedures, providing CM for maintenance of programs
  • Working with configuration team in development, upgrades, and maintenance of CM database to ensure data quality, integrity, and security in the CM database
  • Scheduling regular audits on CM database and assisting in implementing audit recommendations
  • Analyzing configuration issues and developing appropriate resolutions and action items
  • Developing hardware and software version control processes, policies and procedures and ensuring that they are followed on hardware and software development projects
  • Assisting the Program Manager to deliver effective and efficient solutions by meeting key project milestones and ensuring project configuration deliverables are on time and adhere to the standards
  • Maintaining status accounting records to ensure that current and historical configuration of system/products can be accurately determined throughout the product life cycle
  • Producing reports indicating status of configuration items and communicate status to management
  • Working with automated CM solutions to maintain development and production environments
  • Providing CM process guidance to the group in addressing various customer requirements for status reporting
  • Establishing and maintaining configuration item control procedures
  • Ensuring compliance with all configuration management processes, policies and procedures

Requirements

  • This job requires a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline
  • Experience using automated CM solutions required
  • 2-3 years' experience in configuration management
  • Experience in Navy and/or DOD CM
  • CMPro Experience
  • Knowledge and proficiency with some form of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools and electronic workflows
  • Experience reading and understanding engineering drawings
  • Experience compiling bills of materials from drawings and change documents


Desired Skills

  • Experience in procurement
  • Experience with CM Processes of the CMMI
  • Experience with MRP or ERP process or applications
  • Certified in Configuration Management
  • Experience with supply chain support of rapidly changing manufacturing or installation environment
  • Ability to work under pressure while meeting both inflexible and shifting deadlines


Clearance Information

SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT. THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE TOP SECRET / SCI LEVEL
