Salary Statement

Estimated Starting Salary Range: USD $127,650.00/Yr. - USD $212,750.00/Yr. Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.


Description

    Providing managerial and technical support of US Navy Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Tactical Command & Control (TAC-C2) projects, especially for JREAP-C Network Engineering and FMS in Eastern Europe for Marine Domain Awareness (MDA) projects
  • Briefing high-level members of various international organizations, including United States European Command (EUCOM), US Embassy Offices of Defense Coordination (ODCs), and foreign Ministries of Defense (MODs)
  • Managing and supporting engineers who provide network, systems, MDA, and Multifunctional Information Distribution System (MIDS) in-person
  • Providing remote engineering technical assistance
  • Coordinating technical, logistic, and procurement solutions for C4I sensors and sites along on the Black Sea coast to improve multilateral Common Operational Picture (COP)
  • Redesigning and modernizing IT Network in support of FMS projects, including providing for robust redundancy, security, and scalability to the network architecture
  • Developing and executing JREAP-C Tech Refresh (TR) and Redesign Validation Test events
  • Traveling abroad for extended periods
  • Conducting System Operability Verification Testing (SOVT) of shore and ship sites
  • Providing consistent and timely reach-back support for any technical issues with networks and systems
  • Providing technical expertise on US Navy Automated Digital Network System (ADNS), including Network Engineering research & development
  • Leading Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) to satisfy contractual obligations among team Network Engineers
  • Utilizing Quality of Service (QoS) to increase WAN throughput, designing and testing buildout of several new remote sites, and incorporation of network architecture
  • Building major test beds to be utilized by ADNS for design testing and implementation.
  • Understanding network topologies and design including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of backbone, WAN, and LAN equipment
  • Knowledge in the principal of dual-homing sites, as well as VPLS networks
  • Knowledge in load balancing, firewall hardware and software, including F5, Cisco ASA, and Port Channels/EtherChannel to maximize network and server efficiency
  • Utilizing remote configuration, testing, and managing of devices
  • Upgrading network devices
  • Creating and refining a system for maintaining accurate inventory/logistics of network equipment
  • Managing the data center to include configuring, installing, and maintaining routers and switches
  • Directing Change Management procedures to upgrade OS, configuration, and cable management of critical infrastructure such as AWS and Nexus

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree
  • 15 years of Technical Experience with IT and/or C4I
  • 10 years' experience with NIWC Pacific and PMW-740
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance
  • Familiarity with PMW-740 and PMW-101 Program Offices
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional - Routing and Switching CCNP - R/S
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate - Routing and Switching CCNA - R/S
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate - Security CCNA - Security
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate - Voice CCNA - Voice
  • Ciena Optical Communications Associate OC-A
