Who we're looking for:
We're looking for an Associate to join our Corporate Strategy & Development team. This role will help our team develop perspectives on growth opportunities for Rover through M&A and strategic partnerships. The ideal candidate should enjoy learning the ins and outs of an industry, digging into data, financial modeling, developing investment recommendations, and running effective M&A evaluation processes.
This role will report to Rover's Director of Corporate Strategy & Development. This will be a high-visibility role, working closely with Rover's executive leadership team and board of directors to evaluate new opportunities.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Partner with key internal stakeholders to evaluate, negotiate, and execute acquisitions and strategic partnerships
  • Develop initial perspectives on potential M&A opportunities, including investment thesis and strategic rationale
  • Build target financial models including forecast scenarios, synergy estimates, and integration costs
  • Conduct valuation analysis and draft investment memos
  • Coordinate due diligence process in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Project manage the creation of transition and integration plans
  • Work with internal teams to set success criteria for deals
Your Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years of experience in a highly analytical role, such as investment banking, corporate development, private equity, management consulting, or a related field
  • Strong quantitative skills including financial modeling and data analysis
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to distill complex topics into clear, easy to understand messaging
  • Strong organization and project management skills

Compensation:
  • In the greater Seattle area the first-year salary range is $77,001-$99,235. Additionally, Rover offers a long-term incentive plan with a company performance-based cash payout and benefits to full-time employees.
  • The cash compensation offered for this role will be dependent on the candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and abilities as demonstrated in the interview and hiring process.
