Security Officer - Access Control

As a Security Officer - Access Control in Santa Clara, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more .

Join our team as an Access Control Officer in the dynamic Tech/Media/Telecom sector. Your role will involve monitoring and patrolling designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. You will engage with individuals on-site, providing excellent customer service and clear communication. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Responsibilities:

Provide customer service by implementing access control procedures and adhering to site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter, adapting to varying working environments and conditions.
• Assist in emergency response activities as needed.
• Help to deter unauthorized access and monitor for security-related incidents.
• Maintain a visible presence to help deter potential security-related incidents.
• Communicate with clients and team members to address any access control concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Applicants must have at least 1 year of security experience.
• CA Security Professional Guard Card required.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
