Field Inspector

Job Purpose

The Field Inspector conducts on-site inspections to ensure compliance with regulations and standards. The inspector investigates billing inquiries, addresses customer concerns, records electric and gas usage, and performs manual reads and field audits.

Core Responsibilities

  • Inspection and Reporting: Visually checks meter installations for problems that could result in energy usage being improperly recorded. Observes and documents problems in work order system.

  • Field Investigations: Schedule and perform Field Activity appointments. Conducts billing and diversion investigations.

  • Customer Interaction and Support: Reviews billing information with customers and advises them on average energy costs . Contact customers regarding usage trends to verify accurate billing and deliver customer collection notices. Provides backup to the Customer Data Representatives and Field Service Representatives as needed.

  • Equipment Operation: Operates Company vehicles to perform investigations and assist in driving daily mobile routes, as needed.

  • Ability to maintain a valid Wisconsin driver's license in good standing as determined by the Company.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to meet physical requirements of role as identified by the Company's ergonomic solution assessment.

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a technical or field service role. Experience with specific equipment or systems related to the company's products is advantageous.
