JOB SUMMARY


  • Assist Project Managers with construction design changes, progress, and updates.



MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS


  • Must possess a bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, OR
  • Have a working knowledge of construction design fundamentals and principles at a level normally acquired through the completion of a four-year degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Must be able to read, interpret, and analyze construction schedules.
  • Must possess a thorough knowledge of document controls.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS


  • Experience in the electrical construction industry is preferred.


KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES


  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and complete multiple projects in a timely manner.
  • Must have a working knowledge of job cost tracking.
  • Computer skills in the use of various Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Must have excellent human relations skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Track construction contract design changes and updates.
    • Track job costs and overall construction project progress.
    • Read, interpret, and analyze construction schedules.
    • Coordinate design changes within construction teams.
    • Assist with preparation of change orders and maintenance of project change order logs.
    • Assist with development and maintenance of project schedule.
    • Assist with development and maintenance of submittals log and RFI logs.
    • Prepare project submittals and submit written RFIs to client.
    • Perform other tasks and special projects as assigned.



    Please note: this position will be on-site near Joliet, IL.
