National Grid is hiring a Senior Project Manager for Electricity Capital Project Delivery in Syracuse, NY. This is a Hybrid Role.

This position is responsible for the planning, delivery, management, and governance of assigned complex electric projects in accordance with the National Grid project management processes defined by scope, schedule & quality.

• Manage complex electric projects for distribution and transmission lines and substations, including new facilities, major additions, rehab and retrofit projects
• Coordinate all aspects of assigned projects, including:
  • Leading team meetings and providing project status reports to team members and stakeholders
  • Acquisition of required environmental permits, licenses and land rights; engineering and design deliverables
  • Contracted services, equipment and material procurement and administration; construction, interface with operations, and commissioning; and close activities with project acceptance
• Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, collaboration, and efficient resource utilization both throughout the department, the project team(s) and project support groups including Engineering & Design, Operations, Asset Management, Procurement, Outreach, Real Estate, and Environmental groups
  

• Bachelor's degree required
• 2.5+ years leading teams required
• Experience with electrical and civil engineering, contract management, construction, environmental, and/or finance preferred
• Experience working at an electric utility preferred
• Demonstrated ability to interact with company personnel, contractors, regulatory representatives, and town/city officials in a positive collaborative manner.
• Proven ability to prioritize work and manage multiple projects according to budget and time constraints
• Valid driver's license required
