Our Optical Solutions Connectivity segment is looking for a Sales Engineer to join our team. This person will report directly to our Director of Advanced Technology Development and have responsibility for managing the support for our external sales team members, sales representatives, and customers in Tier 1,2, and 3 market segments. This person will be the main point of contact for field product and technical support that includes: high touch customer engagement and customer satisfaction, revenue growth, pipeline creation and execution, and sales and operations support.

What You Will Do

  • Support field sales and sales representatives with technical product support, product demonstrations
  • Attend industry trade shows representing Molex and its products
  • Perform product training at customer sites and distribution partners
  • Assist in creating new opportunity pipelines for existing and new products for future growth.
  • Execute and close on current pipeline opportunities and turn them into revenue.
  • Gather internal consensus from the necessary stakeholders to professionally respond to customer requests, RFQ's and price negotiations.
  • Understand the competitive landscape; gather business intelligence and report findings.
  • Be the point of contact for the customer to resolve and completion their requests or issues directly, or indirectly through the coordination with internal teams, to improve the overall customer experience.
  • Partner closely with internal teams including engineering, business development, product management, sales and marketing.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related field
  • Broad knowledge base of the OSP plant environment for service provider networks
  • Proven experience in Account Management, Sales, Marketing, Business Development or Product Management
  • Experience serving customers in telecommunications or data communications industry
  • Experience working within fiber optic components, modules, optical systems

What Will Put You Ahead

  • MBA or Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Photonics or related technical discipline

For this role, we anticipate paying $120,000 - $130,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
