DESCRIPTION: Patricio Enterprises is looking for a CBRN and Fire Fighting Equipment Technician to support clients in the management or direction of logistics support for one or more programs, including appropriate supporting organizations. The technician will provide direct support to the client in the planning, coordinating and execution of numerous logistics efforts for legacy and future systems as well as technical refreshes/upgrades. Primary duties will include (but not limited to):
- Inspect, service and repair motorized power tool equipment (generators, compressors, pumps)
- Perform highly skilled work in the inspection, testing, maintenance and repair of Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA).
- Conducts leak, fit and flow testing analysis of SCBA equipment utilizing advanced technical equipment.
- Maintain appropriate Defense Chemical Test and Evaluation (DCTE) certification required to perform machine testing of CBRND respirators.
- Complete Train-The-Trainer courses and serve as a New Equipment Training (NET) Instructor IAW AR 350-1.
- Conduct DCTE maintenance and repair including intermediate level maintenance, upon completion of DCTE maintenance certification as required.
- Operate designated surveillance support equipment such as sealers, air compressors, special tools, and Material Handling Equipment as required.
- Operate and conduct mask testing on Joint Service Mask Leakage tester (JSMLT).
- Develop and sustain subject matter expertise of all CBRND and Fire Fighting equipment and provide related technical support customers as requested.
- Review and comment on technical manuals, validation efforts, provisioning data, training packages, and other logistics-related deliverables.
- Plan and develop effective product support strategies to meet established goals for operational effectiveness and readiness.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute surveillance efforts through visual inspections, functional tests, and/or machine testing to evaluate the condition and quality of retail/owner and wholesale CBRND and fire fighting equipment in accordance with established directives and procedures.
- Conduct Total Package Fielding (TPF) of equipment with Fielding Coordinators by managing scheduling aspects of the fielding process, performing de-processing, inventory, hand-off, and completing documentation requirements IAW AR 700-142.
- Generate equipment surveillance reports and associated data from surveillance efforts.
- Review system parts lists and make recommendations on the table of allowance.
- Submit all required requests for the expenditure of funds (i.e. travel requests, transportation requests, and procurement requests).
- Comply with host facility regulations relevant to safety and environmental issues.
- Ability to travel frequently in CONUS and OCONUS.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
- BS/BA with a minimum of three (3) years of general experience or HS/GED diploma with a minimum of five (5) years of general experience.
- Three (3) to five (5) years CBRND or Fire Fighting experience.
- MOS 57XX series experience preferred.
- MOS 70XX series or previous firefighting experience preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Required to be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Required to stand for prolong periods of time.
