HIRING RANGE: $63,873 - $71,857 Annually

POSITION SUMMARY
This role will oversee execution and operations of the Clean Energy Incubator program. The goal will be to assist businesses in getting involved in clean energy initiatives in the state of Illinois. A portion of the job will be tied to communication of the opportunities and aligning local government, partners, and stakeholders and identifying opportunities. The primary focus will be helping small businesses in start-up or growth stages to be ready to transition into clean energy opportunities with solid business plans, marketing strategies, and financial readiness.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Build and lead team of business advisors focused on assisting small businesses and prospective entrepreneurs with a focus on contractors and related businesses in the clean energy sector.
2.Foster relationships with local business leaders, stakeholders and clean energy resources to identify opportunities for new businesses.
3.Maintain reporting of deliverables to grantor.
4.Create and deliver informational presentations to potential stakeholders.
5.Collaborate with EBC Manager on budget, personnel, and programming.
6.Maintain professionalism in the department and public image of JJC in all activities and interactions.
7.Be resourceful, flexible and innovative as this is a ground-up program with many moving parts.
8.Promote activities and initiatives to create opportunities for disadvantaged businesses.
9.Attend community events related to business, clean energy and economic development.
10.Create programming that builds successful business with focuses on clean energy, finance, marketing, operations, HR, compliance, and sales process.
11.Assist with grant proposals and analyze, evaluate and report statistical data and outcomes. Participate in grant-writing and grant-proposal development with outside organizations to facilitate project development, grant application, and proposal submission.
12.Develop policies, guidelines, and systems to ensure an effective operation of the grants process.
13.Uphold core values of diversity, inclusion, accessibility and equity to develop a program which supports policies and practices which considers the unique background and experiences of program participants.
14.Perform related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1.Bachelor's degree in a business-related field.
2.Three (3) years' experience in management/administration, consulting, or related area.
3.Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to coordinate multi-dimensional activities simultaneously.
4.Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
5.Ability to work well with clients and business customers; must be entrepreneurial, bottom-line performance driven, customer focused, and learner centered; able to "sell" and negotiate to achieve mutual goals.
6.Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with other members of the college and community, displaying cultural competence as well as emotional intelligence.
7.Demonstrated commitment to the college's core values of respect and inclusion, sustainability, integrity, collaboration, humor and well-being, innovation and quality.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1.Master's degree in a business-related field.
2.Energy or Clean Energy Experience.
3.English and Spanish verbal and written communication proficiency.
4.Demonstrated multicultural competence.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
1.Normal office physical demands.
2.Ability to transportation for local travel.
3.Ability to travel between campus and business locations and to/from community events.

WORKING CONDITIONS
1.Duties are performed indoors in the usual office and/or outdoor environment.
2.Evening and/or weekend hours commensurate with demand.
